Located on the West Slope of the Rocky Mountains, the Town of Pagosa Springs is a unique mountain resort community at 7,079 feet elevation.

Starting in the 1880s as a small frontier settlement, Pagosa Springs grew up along the San Juan River which runs directly through the heart of the historic downtown.  Along the river, there are also shops, restaurants and walkways.
